I am looking for a friend of my step father's called Gustavo. My step father's name is Victor Clarke but I don't know Gustavo's surname. They met whilst on holiday on la Isla Margarita in 1992 or 1991. Gustavo was staying with his brother (who is/was a doctor) but lived at that time in Caracas (La Candelaria) and worked for BOC. REplies in English or Spanish please!

I bet there are as many Gustavos in this world beyond our imagination. Providing his one name has even worsened chances of ever finding him. Have you tried to secure his other name? The number of years that have elapsed are close to two decades remember. The best placed person to know of his whereabouts would be your step father. Have you involved him in the whole search? Good luck nonetheless.

I find myself scratching my head everytime I see these call for help request here in the forums regarding missing persons. How can you even be sure that amongst the hundreds of users here there might be someone who knew your friend? Why don't you all first try consulting the embassies, police, radio or television media if you wanted to meet them badly. Or try the social networking websites for there is an even better chance of locating your special someone there.

Yeah, Sonya had a point. I happen to feel and do the same way Sonya.I think the original poster must be in desperate situation on finding this person that was quite hard to find, considering that the name is so widespread you will get about a thousand of the same people with the same name. I think the best way to locate him is to track information regarding him and his whereabouts, that is if you have any few ideas of the matter.

I think it would be hard for you to find that person, to think that you only have his first name only. Try to know his last name first so you can search his full name istead of searching using only his first name. You can check his name on some social media sites, and believe me, i know how effective it is, based on my experience. Good luck on your search.

How about asking your father for his friend's complete name. They are indeed friends right? What kind of a friend who does not know the complete name of the other? So try extracting that information first then go back here.It is like looking for a needle in a barn filled with a dozen of hay stack (if you know what I mean). By gaining the name or some photo of your father's friend then searching for him will be a lot more easier or the chances even greater. Try hitting Myspace, Facebook, Orkut or other social networking websites.

Yeah, you can try that suggestion posted by Christen. With lots of online social networking sites on the net, the person you are looking for could probably created an account. No one knows, however, you can go for Christen suggestion over the matter. And kindly come back here and let us know if you already find the person you are looking for. Good luck on your search and have a nice day.

We should consider the circumstances as well, what if the inquirer's father is already a forgetful person or is already bedridden and she is just doing this for her father's "last request" (if you know what I mean). I think she has already tried hunting for search engines and on social networking sites where she can have better luck finding the person she's looking for, because if she would still be lumping around here in the forums I think she would answer back you guys who so much antagonizes her. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
