I highly doubt that. Every city will have its ils; crime being one of them. Which particular city are you talking about?According to hearsay, violent crime in Venezuela is pervasive both in the capital as well as the interior. Homicides are up to about 67 percent since 1999.
Crime is said to be soaring..here are some facts and figures on the same. I would not dispute the fact that the people are friendly though.

I have a couple of country in mind but you can never achieve a criminal free society. It is innate to man to commit worldly sins like thievery or plunder or the worst murder. But it is up to us to take care of ourselves and ensure our own safety.

Depends on the city you are talking about. No single country in the whole globe can be said to be crime free. As stated above, man is prone to committing sin, the worst of which is to destroy life.I think the challenge on leaders is to ensure that a partial crime free society is in place, one that realizes flaws in the administration of justice and aims at curbing such.

Now that this has to do with immigrating to Venezuela, it is important to note that this is a country of immigrants. About two-thirds of the population mestizo(of mixed European and Indian ancestry) or mullato-mestizo(African, European and Indian). Statistically speaking, the native Indian population is small.Prior to 1948, the Venezuelan government was selective on non-Hispanic migration but the period between 1948-1958
was one that witnessed open migration.

We all know that there is no such thing as a crime-free society so let's just move on with the topic. Obviously, this Ravi guy is some forum newbie who can't even get his English straight. What I want to find out is the type of environment that Venezuela has to offer. Is it expat friendly like the rest of the world? Is the cost of living expensive? Those are the things that I wanted to know.

I think i have to disagree with the original poster claiming that Venezuela is a clean country without any crimes. I have read from an online news paper that there are also some crimes that involves gangs on the country. I think there are no more crime free country in the world nowadays. We just have to live by this fact and try to protect our selves by getting useful information regarding a certain country.

I think that during this times, it is impossible for a city to e criminal free and out of troubles. Guess we have to work harder to fight this kind of problem in our community. Good luck to all of us.

There are quite a few good neighborhoods in Venezuela. If you are thinking about migrating there is nothing wrong with Venezuela. In every country there are bad areas don't let that stop you from moving. Best of Luck.

Venezuela being a safe country to migrate to is solely subjective. It depends on which angle and community you will belong or look into. Venezuela still belongs to the Latin America countries, especially near Mexico and Cuba which is infamous for drug smuggling or drug-related violence. I would not entirely discriminate these country though for there is a good in every country. The bad publicity has negatively affected the economy of that countries and other neighboring countries like Venezuela.
