Someone I know is already a citizen there. What he did is he entered the country as a tourist. Find a good job there and applied for a working visa, and after few more years the government allowed him to be a citizen for his contribution and long stay there. I don't know how he did it but it worked. Or the other option is marry someone who is already a citizen there then you'll automatic citizenship if you want to.

How long would a tourist visa last? I would like to visit my girlfriend in Venezuela so we could finally meet and get to know more about each other. We've only met online but we have constant communication through video chat and phone calls. I want to go there at her hometown and pop the Million Dollar Question. If ever she agree (I hope she does), I would also want to live and form our family there.

Who needs a Venezuela visa? All US Citizens do not require a visa to travel to Venezuela, whether for business or tourism for short-term stays; however, you will need a US Passport.
What is a Venezuela Visa?
A Venezuela visa is a stamp or endorsement placed by officials of Venezuela on a passport that allows the bearer to visit Venezuela. Visas are obtained from the Embassy or consulates of Venezuela for your visit. "Visit" is further defined as the reason for entry, usually business, tourist or transitory. There are over 270 countries that offer visas and literally thousands of different types of visas available based upon country, type of visit, and length of visit.
How long does it take to obtain a Venezuela visa?
Typically, a visa takes anywhere from 2 days to 15 days to process in the Venezuela Embassy/Consulate depending on the consulate that we need to send the application to and whether you choose to "rush" your Venezuela visa.

Dude, you do not simply label someone you have met online a 'girlfriend.' Again, isn't she the best placed to give you all the immigration details? It is not a guarantee that going to Venezuela as a tourist will mean you will automatically become a citizen. Well, it could work but remember you have to prove your resourcefulness.
You can find all this information on the net or their embassy.

Well that was lucky of yo getting a serious relationship over the net. that was really nice and romantic. Moy has a point there, there are online sites that provides information if you are looking for ways to become a Venezuelan resident. But it seems to me that you are considering your girl friend to be your pass port in being a Venezuelan citizen.
Well, i hope your plans work.

I would like to know more about the immigration in Venezuela. I am interested in giving it a try on living in Venezuela. I love to be in such place where life is simple as it may seem. I would definitely want to be in this place and maybe when I retire I am sure to consider this place as my retiring place. Have a good day guys and thanks a lot.

You want to be in a place where life seems to be so easy, did I get it right? Well, I think you are not that aware of what is the current situation we are having right now. We are in a very hard financial times and also due to this matter, lots of bad guys are everywhere so it would be a little hard for you to find such place.
