It is so nice to see long lost friends finally getting reunited. The power of the information superhighway of the world wide web never ceases to amaze me.

Comment #9 Lacey (63.176.159.29) - 10/31/08 00:56

if your wanting to know if your friend are alive you could do a search on the internet for them, and a basic search will give you their name and address but I do not think it will tell you if they are alive or dead, you would pry have to check death records for that, or maybe pay for an advanced search.

Comment #10 Wendy Phillips (170.123.4.230) - 11/24/08 12:57

I would like to find out what happened to my grand-mother, Irene Louise Phillips. She died in Maracaibo, Venezuela around 1927.

Thanks,

Wendy

The reunion is great but that you posted the comment and the second person to reply it was the person you were looking for strikes me the more. Did you both agree to write here or had contact already(just kidding of course).

Fifty years is pretty a long time so I hope you guys organize a party as you recount different experiences in that time span. Here is a toast to long lost friends..cheers!

Wendy, that´s interesting, my friend! Your granny died in 1927 and you ask what happened to her? well, I could tell you but it would be sad to hear. Maybe she´s having a cup of coffee at Starbuck´s! Cheers!

Just for continuity, I figured translating post # 18 would help.

I am looking for my friends that I have not seen Venezolanos since 1986.

In particular I would like to find Julia Ayala, Alejandro and his sister, Belen Lopez.

If you can locate them estare eternementte grateful.

Any information regarding the above?

Comment #21 Eve (63.176.159.94) - 11/24/09 21:58

The internet is surely one of the best ways to reconnect with old friends of the past, but sometimes one is simply just not able to reconnect with their old friends. It can really be very hard to source people who may not even want to be found, possibly either for one odd reason or another.

Comment #22 Eve (63.176.159.167) - 12/20/09 13:27

I know if I didn't want to be found I would surely not be linking with anyone on some social networking web site.

Comment #23 B. Ware (63.176.159.68) - 01/05/10 23:27

Be careful with reconnecting with your old friends in the internet is really a great idea. But in doing these you would need to disclose private details that should be made available for everybody else, even for people you don't know. In doing these, your friends will surely find with a single search query, but you'll be more prone to be a victim of identity theft and other cybercrimes and abuses.

Comment #24 Tito (63.176.159.11) - 01/28/10 19:35

Thanks to the internet you can simply check your friends name on search engines and locate where they are now. Or better yet, with so much social networking sites, you can find them easily, just pray that they do make a profile on one of the many social networking sites in the net today.

But I have to agree with B. Ware, you must be very careful when using the net and sharing private information.
