This destination seems like a preffered for most people and I bet you not only want to go for a vacation and come back empty handed! You want to carry a sovevier, memoir or perhaps a gift to take to someone.

Is there a famous shopping mall in this part of the world?

Great resource Juno....I am sure anyone on vacation in this part of the world will have more than just one reason to head in the direction of Venezuela. Health experts however discourage against heading for the malls, supermarkets and mainly the fast food restaurants. The world is particularly going green and so I would be curious to find fresh food groceries and other foodstuff stores there

Comment #3 pale_o (63.176.159.62) - 08/29/09 05:17

Nonetheless, there is no harm in sneaking into your favourite food joint and grabbing a snack. It has all to do with what kind of eating habits you have cultivated...

I will be particularly interested in a store that has more than one items..talk of finding fruits, vegetables and art galleries under one roof.

Venezuela offers a lot in the 'what to do category.' You just need to know where to go

Comment #4 Clara (63.176.159.116) - 09/22/09 15:27

There are some very famous shop, handbags and shoes, in Caracas? I'm addicted and I like that you pass me some links, to learn a little, because I am thinking of traveling to that country soon

Comment #5 Chucky (63.176.159.158) - 10/01/09 22:20

Venezuela seems to be transforming as a shopping destination, actually i have to agree on that matter. When my aunt come home from her trip in Venezuela, she brought with her lots of stuffs that i don't know how on earth she managed to shop all of those.

I was hoping that she wold come back there and bring more stuffs as she return. Good luck on my thoughts, Smile..

Comment #6 Buddy from Chicago, Illinois - 10/02/09 06:47

I always saw Venezuela as a cesspool of political hate.

Comment #7 Clara (63.176.159.114) - 10/04/09 20:35

What is the most beautiful city to visit in Venezuela? Is an expensive country for tourism?

Comment #8 Nicky (63.176.159.127) - 10/06/09 19:01

Lots and lots of people are considering a visit in Venezuela. Though the country may seem a little expensive vacation and touring destination, it still manages to attract lots of tourists.

Anyway regarding your question on where to go when you are in Venezuela, you might want to read on articles at the net and blog reviews, and i have here one good site. Hope it can supply those needed info..

Comment #9 Joey Revillame (63.176.159.151) - 10/16/09 23:56

To add up to the reasons why to visit Venezuela are the women. Why do you thing delegates from Venezuela usually wins a Miss Universe title? It is because the country has one of the most beautiful women in the world. Forget the political hate, you will not travel to Venezuela to meet the local politicians but rather it is the place, women, and memories you are after here. Enjoy Venezuela.

Comment #10 Jeremy (63.176.159.215) - 10/21/09 22:27

Hve to agree on that Joey Revillame, i think also that the women of Venezuela are drop dead gorgeous. I would like to spend the holiday with lots of beautiful women around me. That would be a very nice idea.

So anyone out there who have some pointers on how to get close with Venezuelan women would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys, see yah all in Venezuela.

Comment #11 Ador (63.176.159.144) - 11/02/09 22:55

Well i also would agree that Venezuela women are beuatiful, it is because it seems that being beautiful is a necessity in that country, have you heard of the school in the country were they train soon to be miss Venezuela to compete in the miss universe pageant, or in any other kind of beauty pageant?

Well for those who would want to see some beautiful Venezuelan women, check this link out

Comment #12 Christiana (63.176.159.72) - 11/05/09 20:10

Well besides the women (there are also the men, ahem ahem), what I do want is to have something to remind me of Venezuela when I have enjoyed everything on it. Of course I will need to travel there first. What I would like to know is to where are the most popular souvenir shops in Venezuela? Please no online store, I want the real locally made stuff purchased on a local store. Please tell me where can I afford some of them. Thanks in advance.

Comment #13 Kali (63.176.159.91) - 11/13/09 08:02

A word of caution: Caracas, and Venezuela in general, are considered very dangerous ares of the world. Many people get mugged on their way from the airport! The other day I saw that the caracas Morgue had to stop receiving dead bodies because there was no room for more, I think it was 34 at that point.

Many reasons for the danger: mainly drugs and associated evils. Many times crime is also socialized!

Comment #14 Buddy from Chicago, Illinois - 11/14/09 05:39

"Real Reason for Danger"

Lack of effective leadership for the country.

Comment #15 Mildred (63.176.159.15) - 11/16/09 19:36

Yeah. have to agree with that. Guess we just have to be extra careful when visiting the country so we wouldn't be messed up with those kind of crimes. But i still would want to go in Venezuela and see its beautiful spots.

Can anyone share here some nice place where a tourist can tour around and shop for cool items as well?

Comment #16 Danger Tito (63.176.159.198) - 11/29/09 23:27

Even though there is a danger on going in or out of the airport, I think the criminals are not foolish enough to come out in the open. So I would prefer going out or to "it"in broad daylight or with some trusted Venezuelan friend who knows how to go around their country. Violence and high criminal rate will always be there so what is left is the tourism own personal awareness and safety for himself.

Comment #17 Eve (63.176.159.190) - 12/05/09 15:16

I have heard of Curacao for shopping from ever since I were a toddler, indeed. Trinidadians love to go to two different places in Venezuela for two different reasons. They love to to Margarita whenever it is that they are thinking about a vacation, and they love to go to Curacao whenever it is that they are thinking about shopping.

Comment #18 Eve (63.176.159.44) - 12/14/09 13:26

Both countries are dazzling brilliant in many a respect, and they are surely, one hundred percent justifiable concerning this brilliance, as well.

Comment #19 Pauline (63.176.159.40) - 12/25/09 23:47

Yes, there are really lots of shopping stores in Venezuela and you certainly can see lots of must buys there. Happy Shopping everyone.

Comment #20 Cindy Zhen (63.176.159.134) - 12/27/09 23:10

Thank you for making this forum interactive and balanced. We can't always have some positive reviews regarding these places, we should let the public know the pros and cons regarding the visit to such countries to serve as an advisory and reminder to what not to do, where not to go or technically just be vigilant. I know it would take some fun and excitement out but it doesn't take everything out and believe me it will all be worth it.

Comment #21 Tom (63.176.159.96) - 01/16/10 21:43

Yeah, though this country is under a bad reputation with all those criminals in the streets, I think that Venezuela are one of the great country to be. There are lots of things to experience here and lots of must sees are also there. I would surely love to be in that country, if only I have the chance and the means. Haha. Well, just have a good day everyone.

Comment #22 Elaine (63.176.159.57) - 02/10/10 19:50

We usually see this negative publicity regarding Venezuela as a dangerous country but is this a known fact? Can you provide reliable news articles and resources affirming your accusations? Do not be immediately deceived by claims such as "country is under a bad reputation with all those criminals in the streets" or "Caracas, and Venezuela in general, are considered very dangerous ares of the world", prove to us than this is so because one whose talking about these kind of stuff are either misleading and discriminating a country, or just plain antagonizing and destroying the image of a successful country such as Venezuela.
